I’m Ames, it’s so nice to meet you!

My name is Amy, but my friends call me Ames. I married my husband Michael in 2019, and we welcomed our daughter Isla a year later! We live outside of Colorado Springs in a renovated 750 square foot cottage. As a born and raised Midwest girl, I have to pinch myself everyday when I look at our stunning mountain views. I studied fashion design in college, and have sporadically had opportunities to use those skills professionally. Several of my favorite gigs were designing clothing for Amani in Kenya, and working in the costume department for a summer theater company! Currently I do interior design and decorating part time as my day job. Michael is a Project Manager and oversees a lot of historical renovations. We work for the same organization, and it’s wonderful to be able to work together! I also LOVE making things for my family and home! And I’m very much a research junkie. I’m excited to share projects, inspiration, recipes, and my latest obsessions with you! xo, Ames
