Introductions

My name is Amy, but my friends call me Ames!

Back in the golden age of blogspot I had several different blogs, but I abandoned them just as some of my current favorite influencers were getting established. (The “Blogger Bun”…IYKYK!) So why am I back now? As a first time mom, I recently decided to take a step back from my job. This was partly because I realized that working full time wasn’t giving me the time to do necessary things, let alone the things I love. While I still work on a very part time basis, I am finding so much joy embracing motherhood and being at home!

My own mother told me throughout my growing up years that I needed to narrow my range of interests. That endeavor was not very successful! Let me tell you about some of the things I love – home decor (part of my job, actually), designing and sewing clothing for myself and my family, kitchen adventures, outdoor adventures, all things gardening. Coffee, knitting, houseplants, books, vintage patterns, thrifting (just good deals in general). I’m not going to lie, I’m a very domestic!!

I hope that this space can be a creative outlet that will allow me to document and share inspiration, projects, and offer opportunities for me to grow.
